Navid is an internationally renowned tombak-player (a classical iranian percussion instrument), a teacher and philosopher. He has worked with some of the most prominent contemporary artists in Iran, and the world, and has also composed music for several movies and documentaries. 

According to The Music House of Iran, Navid and several other musicians were arrested in Shiraz, November 2022. No one knows where he is or why he was arrested.
